Stanley Cup champions! After that terrible defeat on Monday, they up and won yesterday. Too bad they didn't win it at home. The celebration would've been way better. Get to go to the parade tomorrow! I'm so happy!

Went to a wicked awesome concert last night! Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers! Had sooo much fun! They played all of my favorite songs! Really wish I would've taken the digital camera.... as my cell phone's video isn't that great. My whole family went, which is a first as far as concerts are concerned. And... I think that this Tom Petty concert and the first one I went to back in 7th or 8th grade, is the second concert my sister and I have gone to together.
Man, they played Mary Jane's Last Dance and Free Fallin' (or ballin' if yer Candi. xP) right in a row. Two of my absolute favorite Tom Petty songs!
Anyways, just a little happy update for you guys.

Let's see.... I think I'll go back to New Years Eve first. Yeah, a crazy day that was. We had to move outta the apartment by midnight. We were still moving stuff at like 11, but there was no way I was gonna be on the road at midnight. So, made it back to my place with 4 minutes to spare, downed two shooters of vodka and had an Irish creme milkshake. Let me tell you, that was fucking awesome. Played Sing Star (me and Lyn kicked ass even though we were still buzzing/drunk/whatever). Passed out around 3-3:30 and all was well.
Then, we had to run our asses off the next couple of days cuz Ohayocon was a few days after that. But, but, the con was wicked cool! We did Furuba cosplay on Friday with our awesome friend Dani! There was a photoshoot, but I'm too lazy to go find pictures. If people want to see them bad enough they can go look. Our yuri panel was a big hit! There were people all over the room. We were probably breaking some fire codes or something. People had so much fun and the majority of the people stayed the whole time, even though there was another yuri panel that had started half an hour after ours. In fact, on Saturday a couple of people told us that they absolutely loved the panel! Gotta do that one next year for sure... but with more pictures.
Saturday was pretty crazy, but it was probably the best day of the con! We were doing our punk rock Naruto costumes. We had our D. Gray-Man panel that day and the masquerade. We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Seriously. But, but, the best part was that we freakin' won for the category we were in in the masquerade! It was funny, cuz they were calling our group up, and we didn't realize it was us. xD;
Sunday was pretty mellow. We did the X panel and mostly just walked around and took pictures and stuff. And one of the other best parts of this con, was that there was no drama! I think this is probably the first time that there has never been any drama at all.
Anyways, I'll update again eventually. Within a year hopefully. xD

In September I pushed princesskupo in the mud (-17 points). In July I ruled Duluth, Minnesota as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). Last Tuesday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole mari0nette's purse (30 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-17 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!

Blah, go from one cold to another. I swear it's this freaking weather. And why is it that I get sick multiple times when I have no insurance so I can't go to the doctors. First it was the congestion of doom, and now it's the coughing and the nasty mucusness in my throat.
Got to see Ken, Kyle and Allison this weekend! *wishes she was able to see everyone else though* Especially Mike-san, since I haven't seen him in forever! Oh well, maybe hopefully at Christmas time?
The math class is going very well. I really truly believe I'll pass this time! This professor makes this stuff so much easier to understand and he's pretty laid back about when you turn in assignments..... well, as long as they aren't too late. But, I really feel like I know the stuff. So, I'll be happy when I apply for the College of Education in January. And then I'll apply for graduation and everything. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do student teaching until winter semester of '09 cuz of some stupid test I didn't know I had to take. Evil Wayne State. But then hopefully I'll have a job soon after that. Seems like forever and a half away right now, but I know it really won't be that long. I mean, this semester is already almost over and it feels like I just started it yesterday. I'll be happy for a little bit of a break. Don't know if I'll be taking any classes next semester. I guess we'll see what my financial situation looks like and all. I mean, I'd have to take out more loans and all.... blah, stupid loans another thing I have to worry about.
Well, that's enough ranting from me. Hopefully I'll update sometime before the new year. xD

Yeah, just to jump right in.... we had Burly put to sleep today. He was 18 years old, pretty old for a cat. My sister called me and told me that she and my mom were gonna take him to the vet, because he had been bleeding a bit from some of his scabs that he got when the other vet had to get some hair mats off of him. He was also having problems with his back legs for a while. And he was just all fur and bones.
He was a great cat, and I'm gonna miss him a lot, but I think in the end this was best for him. It's better for him to just go quick and easy instead of wasting away to nothing. I wasn't there when they did it, I didn't want to be. I had already been around for getting one cat put to sleep about 10 years ago, so I didn't want to be there for another one. They gave us a little imprint of his paw and wrote his name next to it.
So, that's my update for the most part.
Taking a class at Macomb and having the credit transfer to Wayne State. Gotta have my application in for the college of education by October 1st. Then, I get to sign up for student teaching for next Fall. So... hopefully I will have a teaching job for January '09.... unless I would have to wait until September.... I hope not.

So, taking a page from Lyn's book here and just posting about both, but I'm not cool like her and you don't get a little link to read my HP review. If you haven't read the book, then don't read it because I promise there will be spoilers.... sort of... well, at least spoilers of who dies and stuff.
Otakon first I guess.
Thursday: Driving in rain, in the mountains.... not fun. Nothing like not really being able to see the cars and the road to wake you up. I was so happy when we got out of that. The hotel was very nice, the room was nice too. Yay for small fridges, microwaves and pull-out couches! Got Laci from the airport. Shuttle took off because we took too long or something. Pain in the ass having to wait for it to come back. Did some costume stuff and went to WalMart to get some food stuffs. Passed out. Yay!
Friday: Woke up very, very early to get into costume and get to the line from registration. Parking in Baltimore... the biggest pain in the ass in the world. I fucking hate that city and it's parking and it's tons of traffic everywhere! Not to mention the people that live there are total asshole drivers. Anyway, had fun doing the Battle Royal cosplay. Only a couple people knew what I was from since I was separate from the rest of the group, and cosplaying a character not in a school uniform. Feet hurt like hell by the end of the day, because the shoes I was wearing hadn't been worn in a while. Went to a couple panels, they were cool.
Saturday: Yay for the Naruto costume! Had lots of fun being Naruto. Photo shoot was fun, just wish it could've been a little longer. Naruto's Angels, oh yeah. Had fun taking pictures with the yaoi paddle too. Got some pictures of some cool costumes. Went to a few more panels today. Everyone looked awesome in their costumes! Did a little shopping in the dealer's room. Me and Candi had fun going around doing NaruSasuness.
Sunday: Was sad to see Laci go. ; . ; Took her down to the shuttle in the morning. Got to the con a bit later than I wanted to, but that's alright. Just did shopping and sitting around in hallways today. Got some really pretty pictures in the artist alley, and a few small things in the dealer's room.
Monday: Drove all the way back. Dropped Candi back off at home first, and got some dinner. Really, really tired and passed out when I got home.
Below this point is the Harry Potter review, if you haven't read the book, don't read any further.
I'll make this short. Here we go: The book... was better than the 6th book, but still not better than earlier ones. It was like she wanted Harry to see tons of places and shoved them all in this book. Bad move JK. There were barely any other characters in the book besides Harry, Ron and Hermione. I love them, really I do, but for the love of God I didn't need that much of them! Charlie might as well have not been created for how much he was in the book. Greyback.... total pedo. Touching Hermione and everything. Which only made me sick because I know people have written lemons of them. Lupin, total douche at first, but at least he redeemed himself. The deaths: pretty much all of them were pointless. Hedwig! Come on, what the hell was the point of that! Dobby! I cried when he died, because he really didn't have to. Fred! She should've just killed George too! Lupin and Tonks! Why both?! Why not just one?! So stupid. Snape's memories and his death were actually well done. Poor Snape, I felt so bad for him! The last few chapters were the best parts of the whole book. So, I had to be tortured for like 30 chapters before anything really awesome happened. Ok, that's a lie, there were a couple good chapters early on. Neville kicked so much ass! Luna too! Ron/Hermione getting together made me happy. Although, I was hoping they would've gotten together way earlier than they did. The epilogue, was so-so. It was cute, but I don't think she really needed it. The last two lines of the book were so stupid though. Anyway, that's it for my rant, unless I think of something else.

All I have to say is: Very, very awesome movie! It was great. They kept in all the right things, and I didn't feel like they cheated me on things. The people they got to play Umbridge, Bellatrix, Luna and Tonks were amazing! Umbridge was very scary and creeped me the fuck out. Seeing the movie actually made me think that the book really wasn't that bad. I'm actually looking forward to the 6th movie, because I think the same director is doing that one as well. I hope they can keep all the cast members too!
I think that seeing this movie has possibly inspired me to write that SiriusXRemus fic.

So, it's been awhile, as usual. Let's see, didn't pass my math class.... which means I get to take it for the third fucking time...... I have to wait until tomorrow to see if I passed my Humanities class. Got my Biology final tomorrow, and then I'm done. I'm so pissed about my math, if I could've just gone part-time and only taken that class I probably would've passed.
Anyway, Acen is coming up really really soon. Gonna be cosplaying Ban from Getbackers and gonna try for Sorata from X. Just have to find a hideous orange ball cap and a really ugly yellow jacket. What the hell is wrong with some anime character outfits?

Finally! After months of my other stupid phone continuing to loose battery power and turn off randomly... I have a new phone! It's all shiny and pretty and I loves it! All my peoples names are in it, so I don't have to worry about getting them individually. *does a happy dance for the phone* Hopefully, this one won't crap out on me as fast as the other one did.
In other news, I un-clogged a drain today. It was very gross and disgusting. I wanted to scrape my flesh off with a brillo pad after the event.

So, let's see, how long has it been since I've been on here? Ah well, who cares. I'm not dead, so I suppose that's all that matters.
So.... Otakon was cool. Did a lot of carrying SOMEONE'S shit around everywhere (yeah, you know who you are). :P Didn't buy anything, because I no longer had any money. Well, I did have to buy food, but that was it. Got to shake Yoshiki's hand, which was fucking awesome! Umm... wow, that's about it really. Seems kinda sad that I didn't do anything too crazy fun.
Family Values Tour this past Saturday kicked mega ass! Korn was fucking great! I still hate Korn's new stuff though. Diru was wicked cool! Kyo is so fucking sexy. 10 years, another kick ass band. My lower back and neck still kinda hurt from thrashing about wildly (haven't done that in a long ass time). Got to shake Die and Shinya's hands, very very cool. We figure Kyo wasn't there because he had an ambulance waiting for him from the cutting he did on stage. Man, that was so cool. The only thing that sucked, was that it was pretty cold and rainy on and off. I hope I don't catch a cold. Met, one of Tsuki's school friends, she was cool. Also met a couple of Shareef's friends, there were cool as well.
School started last week, and it's pretty boring. Good thing I have Dan here to help keep me company. Hey, Ken-san and Mike-san, do you guys even have classes this semester?

I've just been away for a very very very long time.
Lots of cool stuff happened. Went on a cruise, which was freaking awesome! Thanks sweetie! Wuv you! Good food and nice people. Yay free room service! Nothing like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich at 12am. Baby Got Back!
Umm... almost done with my teaching math class, which I am passing as of right now! Yay! So, only the next teaching math class left and a test and I'm in the college of education!
What else.... going to Otakon this year! Yay! Crazyfunhappytime! Going to be cosplaying as Kankuro from Naruto.

Well, Anime Central was pretty cool, but kinda boring. There weren't any panels I was interested in going to, the rave was pretty fun, and there was no real extreme drama this year. For a con that had somewhere around 16,000 people attending, there weren't many cosplayers.... well, not really any good cosplayers that I absolutely needed their pictures. But all and all, it was a good con. Got a cute lil' Naruto plushie and a Naruto keychain thingy to go on my cellphone.
So, on to the shitty news..... I fucking "failed" my teaching math class AGAIN! I got a fucking 'D', which means no going on to the second class.... which means needing to go AGAIN in the fucking fall. Maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't be a teacher or something. I thought I was going to get at least a 'C', guess not. Wayne State, you've done it again, you've managed to keep another helpless victim trapped in your evil clutches. Kudos to them, because they get more of my money, and I get to take out more fucking loans.
This is just the most wonderful fucking way to start a week.

Whee! Silent Hill, fucking awesome movie! Oh man, it was so violent and gory, just great. Just sitting there in the ubercool theater, staring at the screen in awe. It created a bit of the feel when you're playing the games, but there was also this feeling of anticipation because you WANTED to see what everything was going to look like.
Oh man, Sybil(Cybil? Wasn't really paying attention to names in the credits. Execpt Pyramid Head's, which got changed to Red Pyramid), she was freaking hot! Seriously, once she took off her helmet.... anyway. I think I could see why they changed Harry's character into a woman. ;)
Dahlia, was way cooler than in the game, younger too... or at least I guess she was.
Dude, I so want to see it again! So, any of my friends want to go? Ken, Kyle, Mike, and Jen, I don't care if you don't like horror movies, I'm going to drag you people out God dammit! Mo, you too!
So, once again, fucking awesome movie!
